Ginger Zhe Jin

An industrial organization economist who studies how information gaps, data, and algorithms shape markets and regulation. Recent work tests whether a human-algorithm feedback loop propagated errors in Zillow's Zestimate, analyzes algorithmic pricing, and weighs overlaps between AI and data policies. She formerly directed the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Economics.
