Visual Information Processing (VIP) Lab

A research group applying ML to camera data for occupancy sensing and gesture-based user authentication. Its people-counting systems support space management, building energy savings, and emergency response, and the group releases public datasets for these tasks. Graduate and undergraduate students have worked on its projects.
